Export to ActiveCampaign

Kombai generates ActiveCampaign-specific HTML emails for the input design. Once ActiveCampaign is selected as the ESP/MAP to export the emails, you can download the Kombai-generated email template and send it to your users via ActiveCampaign. By-default, all texts and images inside the email are entirely editable when exported via Kombai.

Select ActiveCampaign as the default ESP/MAP to export emails

Here are the steps to set ActiveCampaign as the default ESP/MAP:

  1. Go to Settings and scroll to Select ESP to export your email.
  2. Select ActiveCampaign from the dropdown.
  3. Apply the settings.

Handle merge tags in ActiveCampaign

Here's an example of how to add unsubscribe link in ActiveCampaign:

  1. Go to SettingsReplace texts with Merge TagsLinks tab.
  2. In Text column, add the text where you want to place the unsubscribe link.
  3. In Merge Tag column, add the following merge tag - %UNSUBSCRIBELINK%, tap and confirm.

Export to ActiveCampaign

Follow the steps below to export the email to ActiveCampaign:

  1. In Kombai, go to Export CodeExport to ESPActiveCampaign.
  2. Click Copy Code.
  3. Go to ActiveCampaign and click on CampaignsCreate a Campaign.
  4. Name your campaign, select Standard as campaign type, and click Next.
  5. Enter email information(Subject line, preheader, etc.)
  6. Go to Create with email designerStart From Scratch.
  7. Click the code icon.
  8. Replace the existing HTML code with the copied code.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Review the email information and send the campaign.

Edit template in ActiveCampaign

Each ActiveCampaign-specific email generated through Kombai is fully editable on the platform. All the texts and images used in the email can be edited and replaced in ActiveCampaign. Follow the steps below to edit an email in ActiveCampaign:

  1. Follow steps 1-7 of Export to ActiveCampaign to open the design in ActiveCampaign's editor.
  2. To edit texts, click on a text element to make it editable.
  3. To replace images, click on an image, go to the change image icon in the right sidebar and add a new image.
